Hi there! My name is Nikki C. Patterson and I am an author, educator, and consultant with IPrevail K-12 Educational Consulting LLC.

As an experienced educational consultant, I am here to educate, equip, and empower you on your journey to securing a quality, culturally responsive education for your child.
As an educator in the public-school system, I have dedicated more than 10 years of service to helping students from low-income communities receive a quality education. As an educational consultant, I have worked with school and district leaders to create school improvement plans and district turnaround plans to ensure their schools and scholars succeeded.
As an advocate for Black students in low performing schools to receive a quality, culturally responsive education, I worked with the Louisiana Department of Education to review and revise the K-12 Social Studies Standards so that each grade level contained the voices and perspectives of Black people and leaders - from different backgrounds.
As a community leader, I work with my local church as a youth leader to host monthly youth day programs that integrate spiritualty and Black history to form a cultural fusion that educates, equips, and empowers the next generation of Black leaders to become disruptors to the status quo.
And as a mom, I have worked tirelessly to create a curriculum for each grade level for K-8 (thus far) that incorporates local, regional, state, country, and world truths about Black lives, struggles, and successes from a Black perspective. It is my hope that the wisdom and knowledge i give to my son today, will help him become a future world changer!

No longer will you need yearly tutoring or summer school support. At IPrevail K-12 Educational Consulting, LLC our process diagnoses the problem, prescribe a treatment plan, and then deliver results that helps your child improve the initial areas of concern during our predetermined work time together.
As a parent, it’s your responsibility to advocate for your child.
After recognizing that my was not receiving a quality education in the public school system, I knew I had to learn the ins and outs to successfully navigate the system - to help him receive a quality education.
For me, this looked like …
>> Engaging in effective communication with teachers, principals, and other staff members.
>> Understanding and effectively using school policies, practices, and procedures.
>> Partnering with the schools to educate them on the importance of embracing and celebrating the cultural and lived experiences of the students in their schools.
>> Engaging with school and district leaders on what their ideas of college and career readiness looked like for their students and how these ideas were being implemented in their schools.
>> Explaining to leaders of different demographics what it took to build a positive school-community partnership that promoted a culture of collaboration and support.
>> Exploring the need for Social and Emotional Learning in our schools; especially after Covid-19.
>> Regularly attending school board meetings and even running for office, to ensure my voice was heard.
>> And so much more that typically comes up only when in conversation about my work in the public school system.
Bottom line, learning how to successfully navigate the public school system was a gamechanger in the quality of education and support my son received.
And, if you want your child to receive a great education … you too must learn to navigate the public school system.
